Silverback University
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Silverback University. They cover who may join, what you are paying for, what happens to the material you upload, and the limits of what this platform is.
Last updated: 9 August 2026
1. Who these terms are between
Silverback University (“Silverback U”, “we”, “us”) is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [BUSINESS ADDRESS]. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. You must be 18 or older
The platform is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Some material is explicitly aimed at adult audiences. When you register you confirm your age, and we may close any account we believe belongs to someone under 18.
3. Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password private. Accounts are personal. Do not share credentials or let anyone else watch paid material through your account.
Some areas require you to complete onboarding, which may include supplying a student ID number. Give accurate information and keep it current.
4. What we provide
Access to recorded video courses, live interactive sessions, downloadable material, a merchandise store, and personal critique services in which a coach reviews material you submit and replies with a recorded response. What you can reach depends on your subscription tier and on anything you have bought outright.
We add, change and retire material over time. We do not promise that any particular course, session or feature will remain available for the life of your subscription.
5. Subscriptions, payments and refunds
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card details. Cancelling stops the next renewal — it does not retroactively refund the current period, and your access continues until that period ends.
One-off purchases, including individual videos and critique services, are charged at the time of purchase. [REFUND POLICY — state your position on refunds for subscriptions, one-off video purchases, critique services already delivered, and any statutory cooling-off period that applies in your jurisdiction.]
Prices can change. We will tell you before a change affects a renewal you are already signed up for.
6. Merchandise orders
Physical goods ordered from the store are shipped to the address you give us. Check it before ordering; we are not responsible for orders lost because of an address error you made. [SHIPPING, RETURNS AND EXCHANGES — state delivery estimates, who pays return postage, and your returns window.]
7. Material you upload
Critique services require you to upload material: dating-profile text and photographs, links to your public social profiles, and video of real-world approach scenarios. You keep ownership of everything you upload.
You grant us a licence to store, process, transcode and display that material for the purpose of delivering the service you asked for — which includes a coach viewing it and recording a response about it. This licence lasts as long as we hold the material and ends when it is deleted.
We will not use your uploaded critique material for marketing, promotion or public display without asking you separately and getting your agreement.
8. Other people in your uploads
This section matters more than any other on this page. Read it before you upload video.
Approach videos frequently capture people who are not you and who did not sign up to anything — the person being approached, and bystanders. Recording, uploading and having a third party review footage of an identifiable person can be unlawful depending on where you are. Several jurisdictions require every party to consent before a conversation may be recorded.
By uploading, you confirm that you have the legal right to record and share that material, that you have obtained any consent the law where you filmed requires, and that doing so does not breach anyone’s privacy rights. You are responsible for this. If a complaint is made about footage you uploaded, we may remove it and close your account.
Never upload footage taken somewhere a person would reasonably expect privacy, footage of anyone who appears to be under 18, or footage of anyone who has told you to stop.
9. Live sessions are recorded
Live sessions may be recorded. Recordings can be published afterwards as on-demand material for other members. If you join a live session with your camera or microphone on, or if you speak in chat, you may appear in that recording and it may remain available after the session ends.
If you do not want to appear, attend with your camera and microphone off. Ask us if you want a recording you appear in taken down, and we will consider the request in good faith.
10. This is coaching, not professional advice
Everything here — courses, live sessions, counsellor material and personal critique — is education and opinion. It is not medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal or financial advice, and no coach here is acting as your licensed therapist, counsellor or clinician, whatever a section of the site is called.
Nothing here substitutes for professional help. If you are struggling with your mental health, speak to a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services.
11. No promised outcomes
We do not promise results. Nothing on this platform guarantees that you will attract a partner, form a relationship, earn money, or achieve any other outcome. Testimonials and examples describe individual experiences and are not a prediction of yours.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- record, download, re-upload, resell or redistribute material from the platform, including circumventing playback restrictions
- share your account or your access with anyone else
- harass, threaten, impersonate or abuse other members, coaches or staff, in live sessions or anywhere else
- upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to upload
- upload sexual material involving anyone who has not consented, or anyone under 18
- attempt to break, probe or overload the platform or its security
- scrape the platform or use it to build a competing service
13. Our material
Courses, videos, recordings, written material, branding and the platform itself belong to us or our licensors. Your subscription buys you a personal, non-transferable right to view them while your access lasts. It does not transfer ownership and does not let you republish them.
14. Suspension and closing accounts
You may stop using the platform at any time and cancel from your account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and we may do so without notice where the breach is serious — in particular anything in section 8 or section 12.
If we close your account for a breach, we are not obliged to refund unused subscription time. If we close it for any other reason, we will refund the unused portion of the current period.
15. Availability, disclaimers and liability
We work to keep the platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Live sessions depend on third-party infrastructure and can fail for reasons outside our control.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and our total liability to you for any claim connected with the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When a change is material we will give notice before it takes effect — by email or in the platform. Continuing to use the platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW — STATE / COUNTRY], and the courts of [COURTS WITH JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer protection law in your own country gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
18. Contact
Questions about these terms: [CONTACT EMAIL]. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
